To be fair, it's not so much as the existence of a god as what it would be. What is god? Is it a conscious entity or a thing in existence above our understanding? God is a word designed to represent a certain understanding of a possible higher power but may not be accurate to what is causing those phenomena. Maybe it's the faith of the peoples in those objects that create their power, maybe it's not so much as there being a god and instead there being a group of 'good' beings (angels) opposed to the demons who represent perfect harmony by acting as a single entity. Or maybe there is in fact a being so great and good a mere symbols representing it is enough to push back evil. All those things and more possible cause can be summarised as a god, but some of them can be understood and studied, therefore loosing the titles to some peoples.
