All in all, John has never been weak, he was someone wallowing in grief and [Cold Heart] took that from him and forced him to find himself, something that he’s still doing. Once he’s set, his flaws will be clear and he’ll grow to suprass them. Thank you so much for reading btw, I read all of the critics and will improve, just don’t expect a cliche path for John

That’s not the path he’s going to take. That would be far too easy and an overused plot, his grief was apparent at the start, yet it was something he wallowed in, the cold-heart isn’t a way to avoid writing his growth, it’s a skill that also comes with side-effects, and overcoming it is the growth he’s going to achieve. Nothing comes for free and unlike my other characters, John is a chaotic element. And though cold heart allows him to not wallow in sorrow and move forward it also effects him negatively, the story is still in its infancy at this point, for him to have growth he needs a base and the base that will be built upon is still being formed, he lacks a set constriction becuz that’s just who he is, an empty street orphan with high dreams, he’s always out of his depth, someone with a dark path who isn’t chained by it. A truly strong, chaotic, or even free person is someone who has every reason to frown/be sad but still laughs at times. I understand your views for the character but it’s still in its infancy and as what i’m planning for him is unique, you won’t see a lot of the common tropes, he’s meant to feel like a complex and real character, someone with multiple aspects to him, not just [Guy with sad past, must be held back by his past] No! He’s a human.
