Her immunity from her past life doesn’t affect her physical body, since yes, it is a different body, but anything related to mental poisons/toxins - shutting down the brain, hypnosis, I guess - that affects the brain would not have any effect on her if she became immune to it in her past life, because her mental self affects her brain. Any immunity to poisons/gases/toxins, etc., that affect the brain from her past life would be carried on to the next life since the brain adapted to be or is the same as the last life. I’m not sure if I’m getting my point across correctly or in the right words, but hopefully can understand my meaning well enough.

This is soul-based - Mizuki’s soul from her past life got planted into the HxH universe and a new body was created to make room for her. Don’t ask how or why - I‘ve honestly no clue myself. Hope it made a little more sense, though.

The mass has to be relatively the same, but by charging her nen she is able to make up for any extra or lost atoms and change/ make the item into something else. It won’t for living beings, yet at least (I think) but it works for objects. I’m not very high-intelligence about this stuff, but I hope this kind of made sense. So yeah, there can be a little atom/energy/mass loss, since the nen fixes anything lost or extra, and it kind of works out.

Maybe, but it would take a long time because it takes a while to master it, and Mizuki could be doing other things and creating different hatsus. Also, because Mizuki is a specialist, and Toshiro is a conjurer I think, Mizuki’s ability wouldn’t be as effective. If she made pills like Toshiro, they would work, but they wouldn’t be as versatile and effective since Toshiro’s specialist ability helped improve his pills, and Mizuki has a different specialist ability. Mizuki also knew it would take a while to master this nen, like several years, because it didn’t suit her attribute, and decided it would just be better to take advantage of Toshiro’s situation and get him on her side. Since Toshiro created such a good hatsu at such a young age, Mizuki knew if he worked really hard on it for like the rest of his life, it would improve a LOT. Mizuki is also planning on having Toshiro creating longer life-span pills by using some of her nen so that Toshiro can live and help her longer. Mizuki doesn’t want to spend a really long time on just one hatsu when there’s a better and easier method (since for her, it’s easy to destroy Haisha’s business and bring Haisha to Toshiro to kill). No the ability stays even after her nen is recovered. Her nen is special and practically immeasurable that 5% of her nen, while it is a lot in general, for her, she barely even notices it since she doesn’t need to use even close to all of her nen at a time. She doesn’t need all her nen currently, which is why she’d rather sacrifice some now than have forever conditions.

This poison was rare. It’s hard to find, and expensive. Mizuki was only making herself immune to poisons because she felt it would be safer and make her more prepared for unpredictable scenarios. Mizuki couldn’t get her hands on enough of the rare poison, and it had to be stored a certain way, so she couldn’t build immunity to it unless she really wanted to, and she didn’t really want to bother. Also, she identified the poison type, and could have not died, but she chose to because she was tired of her meaningless life.

In the HxH world, Killua got immune to most poisons thanks to his Zoldyck training. Mizuki had a good teacher, and her body was different because she was able to achieve supernatural feats like remembering everything, mastering whatever she tried and practiced, etc. This is also a HXH fanfic, so some things aren’t gonna seem realistic but if you’ve watched the show you’ll know Mizuki can’t exactly thrive without good abilities.

The chairman isn't someone stupid. He has a feeling there's more to Mizuki than what meets the eye, and he saw how quickly Mizuki figured out what the Floor Master's nen was, and how she fought under pressure. The chairman knew Mizuki was special, and wanted the Hunter Association to establish a connection with her before she became overwhelmingly strong, so that they would be on good terms. He was trying to look for the long-term benefits, and if Mizuki became a Floor Master and knew about nen, that alone is enough to qualify to be a hunter. Since the Hunter Exam is basically just to determine who is worthy to learn nen and to become a hunter. The chairman was looking for benefits, yes, but Mizuki wouldn't be taken advantage of, and one way the chairman knew that was because of how Mizuki looked for him to be able to not have to fight every year. Mizuki passed all the chairman's little "tests" and he realized there were lots of benefits in having her become a hunter and join the Hunters Association. He saw Mizuki was very mature, and powerful because she became a Floor Master at such a young age, and found him because of her personal motive, proving her mental abilities. Is this enough explanation?

Probably not, but is it not realistic to try to make someone as powerful as Mizuki part of the Hunter association?
