I don’t see how this supports your point. Sure the sharingan can do a lot of odd things but the byakugan only has vision Which “etc” is the author talking about? Plus, the paths of pain don’t even really have only one technique Deva forexample has shinra tensei, bansho ten’in and maybe even chibaku tensei Animal path can summon various completely unrelated animal summons The Mecha path can mechanise parts of its body, launch rockets instead of bones and even release energy rays/blasts The rebirth path can repair, use the tongue thing that scans minds and kills and even resurrect Those aren’t really one technique. If anything, the sharingan is actually the odd one here. So yeah I would believe it if the rinnegan only had one aspect instead of all those things. At least before knowing that it is 3 stages above the sharingan which is weird since it can do none of the things the sharingan can other than enhanced vision like all other dojutsus.
Think about Sharingan and Byakugan. The former has functions such as enhancing Genjutsu and copying Ninjutsu, while the latter has capabilities such as see-through vision, two-kilometer vision, 360-degree panoramic vision, etc., both of which are more than one capabilities, and Rinnegan, who is above Sharingan and Byakugan, has only one ability? - _Ismael_5dCommented
