Not many would be able to stand the pain inflicted by Julian's attacks.- JasonSet8mthCommentedOne such artifact that had been auctioned off had actually been unlocked by its new owner. This was none other than Director Aaron. A young hotblooded youth who wanted nothing more than to gain something someone else had failed to. He bought the artifact, a crystal hourglass with an oculus design on each end. He traveled with it, asking people if they could think of a way to unlock its power, until eventually just walking down the street one day holding it, it had started glowing and shot into his chest. Shocked at what just happened, he felt the power in him changing and tried to summon it. On his first attempt it had succeeded and information surged into his mind about his ability domain.

It's a very good story so far! There was a tone shift for a few chapters, most likely from a brief hiatus, but the author was able to switch it back to the original tone of the novel incredibly well in a consistent manner, while still leaving in things that make you think that maybe that brief tone shift was intentional. Overall, though not very many chapters out yet, it's a good read!

- JasonSet10mthCommentedDaron didn't know how to feel as he read their names on the booklet. If it wasn't for the system, he wouldn't have even known their full names, even with knowing them for years. For the system to have acknowledged both of them, and then for both of them to have worked on a physique technique together, which then ended up in his hands, was it all more than just a coincidence? He didn't know, nor could he get an answer any time soon, which seemed to be the case many times in the last few days. Daron wondered if others had system powers, if this was a common occurrence for them.
