OMG, he's playing on three levels
Ye Xiu must be related to Xie Lian from TGCF š
Hello, emergency services? I'd like to report the murder of Tiny Herb's entire pro team...
Ye Xiu is dual-wielding teaching and psychological warfare š
The third technique only worked for in-person games, when he talked so much that the room ran out of oxygen and everyone passed out š
Ruuuuuude š
Ye Xiu needs to adopt Yifan and put his skills to use, because he's too good, too pure for this pro team
Sometimes the curtains are just blue
He's still teaching, even in serious PVP combat. Such a good captain.
Ye Xiu's handling of Little Moon Moon is inspired š
A really bizarre mix of comedy-romance and... random ultra-dramatic text chapters? And literal AU fanfiction about the characters? There's lots of visual comedy and pop culture humor, and the art is very good, but the weird text-only flashbacks and lack of ending (it's not complete, it just stops) definitely hindered my enjoyment of the story.
I started reading this primarily to see if it really were as wacky as the premise sounded, but I could find absolutely nothing to like about this comic... From the terrible art quality to repeated "comedy" scenes where the only punchline is sexual harassment, it's just not good. Don't waste your time.
Really entertaining story with plenty of comedy, though it seems to have run into trouble near the end... Not only does the translation quality drop DRAMATICALLY for the last several chapters, but the end of the story is really rushed and not very satisfying and leaves lots of loose threads hanging. Still, the majority of the comic is quite good, so I would say it's worth reading. Also, contrary to the description, you don't actually need coins to unlock the last few chapters! I was able to use Fast Passes for the whole thing.
Unpopular opinion, and I know most people aren't reading this with their critical thinking caps on, but... TBH this story contains some of the DUMBEST plot contrivances and character decisions of any manhua I've read. For starters: The protagonist seriously thinks his husband, who has sex with him daily, doesn't realize he's a man?? (I could list many headdesk-worthy plot points from later on, but I'm trying not to post spoilers.) This manhua does have decent art (except for the horses), and earns a few character development points for the MC gradually growing a spine, but just be sure to disengage your brain while reading to avoid straining your suspension of disbelief. š
Oh, he knows. He has read so many of these novels.
ššš
Well, that escalated quickly. (but not as quickly as he, er, de-escalated, I guess š )
Why on earth is this man allowed access to live animals?? š¬š¬š¬
I started reading this fully expecting to quit after a few chapters because it's not my usual genre, but the characters and their struggles are so believable that I couldn't help getting hooked! The straightforward art style and block coloring really suit the story's realism. The main couple's relationship is unvarnished and even (realistically) ugly at times, but in the end it's all the more satisfying for its grit and rough edges.
