Gng it felt way too rushed you explained as when Homelander got that power up he lost his mind and then decided to destroy everything like in a chapter you basically went against everything in the pervious chapters. It should have been slow like maybe 2-4 chapters of the MC losing his mind thanks to that power up he tries to fight the urges but is consumed by it when an accident happens maybe caused by Butcher and The Boys then he goes all nuclear with him destroying everything.
