Almost 5 Stars from me. One of the best TWD FF I've ever read. Although there are debatable points, that is not a very big problem since there are always disagreements with a story, in my opinion it has a very consistent and organic development, a system that, although it is a central point of the FF, does not take up much of the time. Mc and is proportional to the difficulty of the world, which does not make the mc too OP and a slave to the system, the character development is also one of the best I have seen and puts the points in place about what it is like to live in a world apocalyptic, overcoming his past traumas little by little and realistically. The development of the world is progressive and constant, which gives a solid image of the future. The only thing I would argue is how little he lacks his knowledge from his previous life, he should know that it is essential to pay more attention to firepower, I don't understand why he doesn't visit Fort Benning and take the weapons that were probably abandoned there and thus strengthening your base.
He said he felt the weight of his actions and the political problems there about a dozen times, he literally says it every two paragraphs, it's getting annoying. It is enough for me to say it only once and not throughout the entire chapter as in the previous one, if the rest of the chapters are like that, I will abandon it. Seriously, it's not that I want to give bad comments or be a hater, but this ruins the entire FF, I ask you to please seriously reflect on what you are writing.
Those dialogues are terribly forced, Marla just needed to be told go away and she began to question all her actions and she simply left, there was no conversation at all, I sincerely recommend that you relate the surroundings, the reactions and possible thoughts, do not do it as if they dialogues were from a video game, it takes away the realistic feeling of the story. That is my recommendation since the FF is very good and promising but those errors take away points that would otherwise be favorable.

Friend, you must continue. Don't give much importance to how the sequels can be seen if they are not as shocking as the first, after all, a good story has its ups and downs, but this one has potential, a lot of potential. Most novels are OP garbage or their authors are terrible for wanting to do everything very quickly and they don't give context to their stories, that's why they are full of holes, but yours is something more original and a breath of fresh air for readers . At least I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to book 2, DON'T GIVE UP!!!
The idea was good but the mc is pathetic, the decisions he makes are lousy without even thinking about the consequences or the general panorama of things, the events and dialogues are very forced, it's like "hey, I know a safe place to live, without monsters" and the villager says "sure let's go". And they just met, in a world invaded by monsters, where trust is cultivated over time, he simply says something and everyone believes in him, that's very forced from my perspective.
