Read books
I read all your free chapters. Just because I said they're skippable doesn't mean I skipped them. My opinion was that I didn't like the story enough to spend coins after the free chapters. It was too predictable and generic with nothing truly special that I don't find it worth continuing. After reading ever so many books, you will find these cliches and similar plots but some are able to keep you engaged with unique characters, crafty dialogue or a vivid world. This story didn't do it for me, that's all.
Reincarnation in a cliché novel written as a cliché novel. Characters are one dimensional and pretty bland. They have their one personality trait and it heavily defines them. Not a lot of smart characters. A lot of the chapters are rather skippable honestly. A lot of generic ideas, some portions were nice sections to read though. MC is your typical reincarnated reader/author with near photographic memory who faces "struggles" gathering OP items or rather are really just gifted to them.
Enjoyable story however, it could be better. Lots of ideas for tower climbs hopefully there's uniqueness in this story. The story pre 20 chapters lack the aspect of showing rather than telling. A lot of summaries and info at times. Dialogue can help improve the flow. Somewhat improved after chapter 20. Readability is good. Pacing is fine. Not a fan of the inventory, it didn't align with the sovereign of water. Felt like gates of babylyon from Fate or just a MC buff honestly. MC is a pretty cliche reincarnated gamer pro of the game with nearly perfect knowledge of the game. Though, reality had some differences which was good. Still he's nothing noteworthy.
Well she is a transmigrator too but Mirette's reaction to spilled food made by Zoemi as courting death is lol. Those two definitely suit each other. Won't be surprised if this situation just gets brushed under the rug even with everyone watching.
So I'm assuming that he's been top 1% of his age group from the beginning and then got a grimoire for another power boost? Then trained 2 years with the strongest lower realm swordsman. Then he would be already extremely strong when returning to the holy kingdom unless compared to people 20+ older experience. How was he chosen for the grimoire again, felt like I missed it?
Well given half his face is scarred, it already gives an intimating atmosphere to become friends with his lady. But, yeah him ignoring everyone while day dreaming reflects poorly on his and his ladies reputation. Comes off as a rude and undisciplined butler while his lady is tolerant of it though this is just one incident. It's like entertaining a guest and being in your own world, first impressions.
Story with smart characters. Unexpected twists and turns. The characters felt great throughout the read though it was a rather small cast of characters. Throughout the story, the ML and FL go through immense and realistic character growth. The story keeps you thinking and engaged with questions and mysteries along with suspenseful moments. Enjoyable read.
Nothing too special so far, characters felt kind of generic. There's also a lot of named characters early on in the story and there might be problems developing all of them thoroughly without dragging the story. Story hasn't progressed much still at the early stages of an academy arc. The story has potential, hopefully it deviates from typical academy stories revolving beast slaying. There was steampunk elements which aren't typically written about for a unique flavor.
Enjoyable read however, people may get turned off from the beginning. MC has problems with his slavery and mate pairing to an unlikeable character(not main FMC). This is only prominent within the first volume and even after 20 chapters from the start, it lessens a considerable amount and was quite tolerable. The mate idea so far is a subplot to many different characters and doesn't entirely effect MC's decision making. It is well worth it to push onto Vol 2 and 3. *For people who don't like her, she hasn't been the main focus nor frequently appearing in vol 2 and 3.* The story itself is well written and fight scenes are good. There is a lot of gore and dark elements in the story. World building is slowly built and explained through conversations. There's not much info dumping if any. Some POV changes but not much for people who don't like them still good providing other characters thoughts. Characters are good, some are unlikeable, and unredeemable while you have there counterparts. Variety of different characters and people actually die for their own choices and actions. There are consequences even for the MC. The MC himself is naïve and curious about the world considering his whole life has been in a coliseum. He makes mistakes and learns from them. A story of his journey and self discovery would definitely recommend, well deserved rating.
