That's the most frustrating part of these, they ask nothing, assume everything, and the MC does very little to try and fix the error

Ugh, this is gonna be another story where the prejudice against "country bumpkins" is fierce and the MC will not take a second to mention or demonstrate any of her skills to try to set their views right (not that they'd believe that anyways)...
