No because Ira did start talking a lot once he was comfortable with her but mainly about what he was interested in. She means that she can’t talk to him the same way she can with Leo, like talking about her problems
Being apart from him the past few years had been miserable a lot of the time because she didn't have someone there she could truly share her thoughts with who cared enough to listen. Ira was more of a talker than a listener.
