Haunter doesn't need to be traded to evolve into Gengar like the games only some pokemon who hold items while trading evolve
this story follow the anime not games because I found the anime is more enjoyable some pokemon evolve because of happiness and friendship such as Espeon, and Umbreon . Trade evolution are hardly touched in the anime it only been done so in a couple of occasions 1st when Ash was in Johto Misty's Poliwhirl picked up Ash's King's Rock, and it was returned to its pokeball and sent to another Pokemon Center. When Misty picked Poliwhirl up, it came out wearing the King's Rock and promptly evolved. 2nd In Hoenn, we had an episode involving Clamperl and the DeepSeaTooth and DeepSea Scale. In the episode, two kids gave an item to their pokemon but their pokemon didn't evolve until they were transferred to the Pokemon Center. Like Poliwhirl and the King's Rock, it can only be assumed that the transfer acted as the catalyst again 3rd In Unova they had Bianca & Professor Juniper trade Shelmet and Karrablast respectively to show the unique required Pokemon trade mechanic. Jessie accidentally did trade evolution in Kalos because someone wanted her Pumpkaboo because his Pumpkaboo fell in love with Jessie's. This was the 2nd time that they properly did trade evolution in the series.
When Naruto met Lance Haunter hadn't evolve to Gengar yet
will if I honest I will rate this chapter 6.5 out of 10 I don't like the thought of the OC retiring I want him to be great General and continue his campaigns against the other nations I hope he change his mind in the future or after this campaign.
