I believe it’s an indication of how many people in that family line has been named that specific name. Rhaenar first(I) of his name. Viserys (II) second of his name, etc. but to your point, maybe they should only take someone seriously if they have been crowned. Perhaps there will be millions of children named after Rhaenar in the family tree. But only a Rhaenar that has been crowned deserved to be called The First, The Second, The Third, etc. It’s certainly an interesting line of question

I thought ‘self insert’ refers to a story where the MC resembles the author. The writer of the story has literally self inserted themselves into the world, albeit they add a bit of epic stuff, a bit of embellishment to their character. Self insert is a part of fic culture whereby we identify certain stories as when some author is writing a story where they insert themselves in the story
