well, I moved around a lot as a kid, but live in northwest Arkansas, but I try to maintain no accent when possible. if I get too stressed, and start stuttering, I try to shift to a British accent, mostly because I learned the trick while watching Monty Python, and it just stuck.
mixed blood, his father was a southerner, and not from Whedon, which is why he has darker skin, also a comparison to a dog of mixed breed.
I think that love rarely entered into these situations. the whole reason the king wanted Riftan to marry Agnes was to keep him closer to the throne, royalty or not, women are still essentially possessions in this novel. Other than fighting together during the war, Riftan and Agnes don't have a relationship. they are compatriots, nothing more.
you can also read it on Ridibooks, which has the original Korean book, as it is being published. I think she puts out 2 new chapters a week. but you have to do an age verification pay for each chapter (no free passes), and translate yourself or with an app or website .
no, and if I remember correctly from Ridibooks, hilarity ensues soon enough when that becomes obvious.
I am sure dealing with anxiety, depression, and emotional solitude are not helping with that.
leave it to the attendant to get the truth out. Agnes is not a refined and noble lady, she knows how to be, but she is pretty much a tomboy.
unpopular opinion, but all political crap aside, I think Agnes really is just trying to be friends with Maxi. She is just very much an extrovert to Maxi's introvert, and while she seems to get along with the knights, she might want someone she has the option be girly with, but also relaxed.
pleasant ride together? not likely with Riftan's surly demeanor, he is only really pleasant around his Maxi.
I can relate so much, when you are trying to just have a conversation and your things keeps tripping over itself , you feel like a damned fool.
this always feels so good
