All-around awesome story. I can only recommend it. Grammar almost flawless, pacing is great and the few characters I have seen are well fleshed out. Whats even better, the world-building looks well-thought out. The main character is likable and in "3D", not like the usual MC. He is plagued by endless curiosity, but is visibly held back by his innate laziness.

I am quite easily satisfied, not going to lie. Still, the previous sentence has not much to do with what I am going to say about this story, or at least, I will try to be as observant as I can. Also, I really like Kingdom-building stories. Aaaand, it's my first review too. Grammar: The grammar is very clean. Little errors and a lot of attention to detail. Not quite true literature, but trust me Anno borders on the precepts of it. Story: The plot is quite easy to follow and well told, I feel. Again, I really like these kind of stories, so I am eager to see more! I feel like it has potential. Somehow the author managed to do extensive world building without the book feel like there was any real info dumping. It is carefully constructed and paced with relevant information shown rather than told. Exquisite! Style: I like dialogue-heavy chapters better. And this does it to a quite enjoyable extent. Characters: There is a lot of potential in there. Given how James and Levi mesh together, and the final result, being our protagonist. How will his previous acquaintances react? The main character's foreshadowed mental instability? What enemies will he make? What allies will he make? Eager to see all that. All in all Anno is an excellent read, I would prescribe this to anyone. Enjoy.
