I thought if a question was posed to two or more people at the same time, he was not compelled to answer, i.e., the end of 1438, when Sunny doesn’t have to answer Neph’s questions, and leaves Cassie to go rescue Jet

But Sunny, compelled by his Flaw, answered at the same time:

I think she almost remembered Sunny/Mongrel

She seemed to get distracted for a moment, and then laughed.

I’m hoping for the internal crises dialogue for Nephis when she realizes her feelings for both versions of Sunny, before she finds out they’re the same person.

The Lord of Shadows would have continued to play his role as her battle partner, while the humble shopkeeper would have continued living his mostly peaceful life in solitude.

Typo? … looked up at him? … glanced at him? … looked up and glanced at him?

While “people who strived to follow” is grammatically correct, by modern English standards, it doesn’t seem to flow as well to me as “people who strove to follow” or even “people who were striving to follow” - personally I like strove for keeping more similar vowel sounds in the phrase

It was an offer heavy with meaning. The concept of debt was somewhat sacred among the nobility of the Awakened society, especially to people who strived to follow quaint ideals like honor and virtue.

Seems both conditions are really the second condition. A person could leave a sovereign’s domain by stepping out of the range of the domain’s influence in the Dream Realm or by stepping into the real world. Unless being within your pledged sovereign’s domain in the real world (i.e., near a dream gate) would still not protect you.

The other was leaving the territory of the Domain to which they had pledged their loyalty. As long as the Sovereigns willed it, their mundane subjects were protected from the ravages of the Nightmare Spell.

I’d agree with Devouring Beast= Effie, and Undying Slaughter =Jet, as these match their aspects/flaws. Keeping that theme, then Torment = Neph, and Soul Stealer = Mordret. However, I think Sunny = Mad Prince (madness due to Sun of Solace), which by process of elimination would make Kai = Dread Lord? Definitely unsure of the last two.

The Defilement was a form of Corruption that had spread from the Estuary, and there were six champions of it… Dread Lord, Devouring Beast, Undying Slaughter, Torment, Soul Stealer. And Mad Prince.
