That's inaccurate, it said once a beastman becomes mates with someone they are dedicated to them for life. Beastman are unlikely to change their mind once they find a female they like, but it's not impossible. Alva even blatantly admitted to Bai Qingqing that if there was another more attractive female and they hadn't become mates yet he'd switch his affections to the more attractive one.

The plot and progression of this story is very engaging! I think the author has a really fun idea for this story! I would advise the author try to find an editor though; the writing is awkward in many places.

Even better though would be to remove the word 'fiercely' completely. It make the sentence read in an extremely awkward way. The fact that she is surrounded by wolves already implies danger.

minor improvement that could be made to the translation: it would be better to replace the word 'fiercely' with 'menacingly'. Fiercely doesn't make as much sense in this sentence linguistically.
