imagined it's lore accurate and turns him into a vegetable when he uses it.
talk about quick. It took him a full 20 seconds to say this.
I immediately thought of that joke documentary about spiders on different drugs.
He slammed his halberd on the ground to get people's attention and lost it again 40 seconds later(Halfway through his sentence)
Did it take him a full minute to say this or maybe more?
Sure, impossible to know, but science can explain the functions of life without adding a soul to the mix. This is why it's not some heavily argued fact in the science community. Well, unless it's a theist and atheist arguing, and both claim to be scientists when it's likely neither of them are.
This might be the best little cut-away tip. I hope it's because there is no witch cult to attack Ram's village. I also wonder how else Rem differs from her original.
people keep saying he needs Flint, but I always assumed it was the steel that produced sparks.
thanks for arguing.
I guess now on to our main disagreement(this might be my last comment because I need to finish chores and take a shower). To get it out of the way, I understand the MC's problems and weight, most likely. Now, purely logical reasoning is a fantasy. No functioning human is capable of pure logic. (there is a case study on this about a man named Elliot if you are interested.) And it's not like we live in an unreasonable and illogical world, but that we use our hearts to arbitrarily judge more often than we think. Also, I'm not saying that you should throw away your logic, but to say that it's not crazy to use our "hearts". Sorry for the tangent and that we got so far off-topic.
First, Rude, we are having an opinionated discussion, throw "logic" out the window because it is still your interpretation of events, logic doesn't exist right now. Second, yeah I probably did only read the negative comments, I kinda focused more on the book. I don't understand fully your point when you said "it's showing him crumbling under immense pressure". lastly, I think his heroic acts show positivity and naivety, which he's almost immature about. I should correct myself here while I still can, I think "Adult" and "kid" are completely wrong for this discussion we could argue for an hour about whether he is or isn't. I think he shows childish immaturity, not that he is a "child".
I think, PERSONALLY, that adult thoughts are a childish concept. There could be an argument for mature thoughts but an adult thought is a child's fantasy of wanting to grow up. Also, I won't argue that men don't cry, they do(I agree with you). However, I believe that moment was supposed to portray the character's "weakness" and dependency on others, like a child's.
For example, he was crying in his mother's arms.
I should preface by saying I probably enjoy different kinds of books than you if we are going to about this. So anyway, as I see it, Miss La wouldn't force him if he absolutely didn't want to go. She is tough and stubborn, that is for sure, but she doesn't what to create animosity or hate. Also, I want to say that spiritually an adult is a weird statement. He is biologically a kid and influenced by childish urges regardless of this "spiritually maturity".
And when I typed "he was told to", I meant, "He was told to make friends by someone he trusts...". Not "He was told to kill by someone he trusts..."
I've noticed your mostly negative comments on this book, which I would disagree with, and I think an answer would be "Why not give it a try?". This kid just killed a woman, ran home, and cried to his mother figure. He literally has 4(maybe 6) people to confide in. He was also told to do so by someone he trusts(at least a little) and who is at least wiser than she lets on. Honestly, stop being negative for the sake of it.
she was selling Bánh mì which is a Vietnamese dish.
Another reason this could be terrible is that we would glorify the devils in a sense. suddenly, it's not the tomato devil that appeared, but the s-class tomato devil which could make them more feared and renowned(which makes them stronger)
maybe he's increasing the space between layers of touching atoms until they fall away from each other?
uh oh, he just turned space into a particle. All of physics and reality just broke.
