I think when it comes to Jet she doesn't replenish essence period, so it would be like multiplying zero times zero. But maybe it would increase how much essence she could steal from killing other creatures.

I would honestly compare Sunny more so to Odysseus than to Heracles. Facing against a siren like creature, gouging the eye out of a giant, encounters with a witch, a vast journey over a turbulent sea filled to the brim with blood thirsty monsters. Even the characters parallel pretty well for it was not his great strength that brought Odysseus success but his incredibly Keen mind much like our dear Lost From Light.

I agree with that idea, it also adds up when you think about how the Midnight Shard came from the strongest of a certain creature group dominating its general area, same with the Zenith Shard, both creatures were also seemingly the leaders of their species. I imagine that those incredibly powerful creatures are the fates of the 7 and their subordinates.
