They had actually been racking up a ton of guild points during their expedition since they had already cleared two territories because the system considered the praying mantis they had just killed the guardian of the area. So all of the guild points they had gained from the previous dungeon, for finding new areas to explore, and for taking down the guardian of the praying mantis territory was piling up and making it so that the guild was close to leveling up for the first time. In fact it would probably only take one more thing to push them over the edge and Joshua was certain that if the guild did level up he'd have to head back and start setting things in motion. It wouldn't put any of their plans in jeopardy, but it would speed them up a bit. - Zach_Mclean2yrCommented

It should keep any birds from the mountain range from having any interest in coming down here to check things out." Joshua said with a relieved sigh. Joshua knew that the system made it to where birds weren't able to just randomly fly around and attack people. They were more territorial now instead so they tended to only come out when they were hunting for food and that usually consisted of far bigger things than humans. If birds could just attack wherever whenever then you'd see level eighty plus birds flying all over the world and killing people in any area. Beginner areas wouldn't be safe and territories would be under constant attacks if large birds found humans as a primary source of food. the way the author describe it seemed like the excess energy is used to create the item. Although he did kill a much stronger enemy than him the enemy was only first order so the quantity of unused energy is incomparable to the higher levels

Gravis had noticed it long ago. Escura didn't have nearly as much fighting experience as Gravis, so when she was in a genuine life and death situation, she didn't think about watching her surroundings. She was fully concentrating on killing her enemy. For a soldier, that might be a good mindset, but was it really conducive for a cultivator? - Zach_Mclean2yrCommented
