You’re partially right, this simple explanation took too many chapters. You have to consider the entertainment aspect of a novel not everything is about character development and understanding one’s self, it’s a fantasy novel after all. if that was the case I would prefer to read a realistic novel that talks about the struggles of a real person. You have to remember that it’s a fantasy novel and entertainment is the most important thing. If your novel’s mc becomes a god and he has done everything thing there was to do in the world and u still have 500 chapters to go, you will have a problem on your hands, when the main lead doesn’t have a worthy rival that can push the excitement aspect of the novel and u still have 500 to go then also you will have a problem on your hands. When the world does have hidden mysteries to discover and the world becomes dry and u still have 500 chapters to go then you will have a problem on your hands. Lastly, I can tell that the author made a mistake in the early stages of creating the world building and you can see that once he moves to the immortal lands, even though I dropped it to read LoTM, I saw how the author changed his previous mistakes.
