I must have slept off at some point, because a low long hissing sound woke me up. I turned to the sound and saw a reptile. The elders say once the horde of black vultures hit the pack , we will (the chosen ) be sent into the sacred forest. Only one of us will come out alive. That's partly why this is such a big deal.
