ZZZT! The seven soldiers felt the terrifying presence of a creature approaching them. It was coming from their eastern flank. They looked at that flank. There, the flank was sloped. A 3.5-metre tall crocodile beast standing on two feet came up the slope. It looked daggers at the soldiers. The beast's aura arrested the soldiers' will. They were robbed off their thoughts, except for Kyle. Kyle struggled mentally for a split second and eventually broke free from the aura.

The recruits for the project were sent to False Heaven so that they could strengthen their genes. If they were lucky enough to be in a fortuitous encounter, they could learn mastery of one of the core elements of nature.

I think author wanted to write: the stranger was muscular
An idea popped into Kyle's mind. He examined the stranger before him. The stranger was masculine and looked weirdly fit for any task. He bet the stranger could take on a heavyweight level boxer. It dawned on him that the stranger standing before him was a Roman. He absentmindedly gasped in awe.

It just had to be Japan.
The siege lasted 120 days. Then, on the 121st day, a band of 100 Japanese soldiers defeated the Faction army that laid siege on Japan, all of the Faction soldiers reduced to ashes.
