I agree. Author doesnt show any appreciation for the readers. It is "take it or leave it" principle. No bonus chapters after the gifts just shows the calculative nature of the author. But we will still read and pay..even without reward. It is just sadness and frustration on our side..and same amount of money without extra effort (bonus chapters, communication with readers) on authors side.
