You also have to remember that her mother has not been in her life since she was a child. In her eyes, she is still that 6 years old girl that left her years prior. The mother is also small minded because she stayed in that backward village. However, you never know what someone’s bottom line is or the thing that pushes them off the ledge. It’s understandable.

No because she has been lying to her family this whole time. They think she can barely defend herself and that they have little supplies. If she would’ve been honest she could’ve avoid a lot of confusion.

Honestly this book is binge worthy. A very good read that I can’t seem to get away from. I love the character development as well as the story line. Great plot with amazing twist.
