I thnk the author means he lost most of his outward edge and turned it to neutrality. not completely have gotten rid of it.
Lith ended up in a group of three girls and a boy. He didn't know any of them, so he tried to do his best to act friendly like he did with the healers' group. In the last month he had regained quite a bit of his social skills and lost his edgelord demeanor.
