Jarth absorbed all of Orion's pain and the healing effect was on Orion's skin only(outside ) it didn't go inside. If it was a like a spell done directly on Orion's body like some healer then it probably wouldn't work but Jarth is different.

I have only read the first few chapters but I can tell author has planned everything before hand. Also I noticed the action scenes are fluid in the chapters I have read and Jin's power of lightning or electric current is interesting. It doesn't depends on how many talents he copies ....it depends on how he uses his curses and how many times he uses it. how creative he can be with his Curses. Also copying curses is a factor, but it's only 10% of it.
