WTR: Cote: Self-cultivation of Popular Characters
Damn, so it was not just me who felt that way? Honestly, I skimmed through almost the entire chapter because, compared to the others that unexpectedly grabbed me and would not let go, this one just made me feel tired. Only near the end did I sort of “wake up” from that drowsy feeling when things finally started to get interesting, and then it was already over. It feels like their journey could have been shortened a bit and maybe more of the fight could have been brought in. Something like a 30/70 balance, because as it is now, it feels more like 90/10, and that latter part was much more interesting to me personally. I would say this is the weakest chapter so far, and possibly the most boring in the whole book up to this point. The quality is excellent as always, but the drawn-out opening just wore me out a little, no offense.

Maylen doesn't know the whole story of “Overlord,” so she was a little shocked?
Let me start from the beginning. I rarely give bad or mediocre reviews, as I always see diamonds and it's not difficult for me to give feedback on that... What I wanted to say is that this is not my cup of tea. The title of the book attracted me, you could say it drew me in strongly, and I didn't read the description... (I thought it would be a story about God-machine before the beginning of the Age of Myths, and that he would dominate and rule, or something like that? As it turns out, it's just a typical arrogant guy with a stick up his ass (no offense to the author, but I couldn't get past the first four chapters). Apparently, I had too many expectations for this book, and that's my fault. I just wanted to express my opinion and write a comment. Thank you, author, and good luck in your future endeavors.
