Valen75613dReplied to Blast_NiroThe prophecy states that either Voldemort or Harry will die to each others hand, not who will win. This means his changing things could end up with Harry losing. Fate doesn’t pick sides between good and evil so Voldemort winning is very much a possibility. Not to mention that even if Harry does win, others could die along the way. In the books it was really only Fred or George and lupin that I can remember dying besides like dumbledore and snape. Overall Harry came out of the battle of hogwarts very lucky if we consider it realistically. The mc’s introduction into the storyline could effect things just enough to change that very lucky outcome. The flaps of a butterfly’s wings can create a hurricane on the other side of the world, and that is what can happen here.
The original timeline was built on so much luck it was ludicrous. Instead of banking on that happening outside of the books and in a real world, I realized I had to change the future to assure the wizarding world's survival. He is weak and pathetic. He’s a first year. He’s eleven, at least physically. If you want a main character who is dumbledores level in the first 20 chapters find something else. Also, it’s a good transition to what I have planned next.

That’s an interesting idea, maybe I’ll implement it in a future fic
So far, I know that it had to be placed on every single magical child in Britain that went to Hogwarts. That means there has to be an event where every single child is in one place, and be easily charmed. Now, if only there were some sort of an ancient artifact that interacts with every single eleven year old wizard-in-training after the kid gets to Hogwarts. That's right. If you check I went back and edited that. It was too difficult to write him without a surname, it didn’t make sense. Plus it self weird to have the teachers call him by his first name.
