and that's good because it threatens him just as much as it threatens his residents if he allows it to grow too powerful. Better to just eliminate the threat to all life seeing as he is an ALIVE planet

I like his thought process so far though I do hope he actually keeps this flexible personality and protects his residents from anomalies or outta control residents aka chaotic evil ones who only want to destroy everything.

No, it's more so "if ain't broke don't fix it" type situation. It also allows him to put more focus elsewhere without wasting energy on something that's already innately efficient. Lastly not all his creations should be humanoid in nature, we suck at a lot of things other entities excel at.
Evolved beasts didn't count, they obtained their intelligence from their own abilities, not because it was an inherent trait of their species. And Eridel was not going to change that. It would be asinine to do so. - Yasuke_Asura8mthCommented
I'm calling cap on this as he could easily delegate takes to qualified & capable members plus realistically he wouldn't be able to stay on top long without help anyway no matter how "good" or "ahead" he is in the game. One man is exactly that "one man". Hopefully he learns to lead as his faults can lead to him failing with some NPC quests here and there (maybe meets a character similar in skill but is also outnumbered leading to his loss or/& learns the importance of leadership through leading NPCs eventually gathering players to help them as well instead of thinking only of himself). Character development is needed and he doesn't seem to have any flaws besides his unwavering loner mentality and his greed. Anyway that's my only critique so far, Everything else Great.
