I've been posting various stories on Fanfiction, Ao3, Spacebattles, The Sietch and Alternatehistory for years. Now I'm here because my stuff seems to be cropping up here anyway without my say so.

Yep. That was the idea. You're so far the only person who remarked on it.

Balin sniffled and wiped at his eyes with the handkerchief that some hobbit or other had just given him. Maybe there was something to these things. He would inquire as to whether they could acquire some before leaving, especially if Bilbo Baggins intended to make a routine out of these performances. The prior songs had all been moving but… not sad. Not like this, so deep and wide and beautiful, but slow and blended with an immeasurable sorrow, from which its beauty chiefly came. For a moment there, the sadness in the lyrics threatened to feel almost vain, the voice feeling as if it essayed to drown the other music by the force of its voice, but it seemed that its most triumphant notes were taken by the rest of the melody and woven into its own solemn pattern.

Nope. He's Robert Baratheon, if he were well-adjusted and the blanks filled in with Renly and Stannis.

For a moment the court seemed to be acting as a single being, unified in its disbelief at the balls it took to come out and say that with a straight face. Tywin in particular was looking down at him as if he doubted his sanity. Shows what they know! Long as you believe what you're saying, there's nothing easier than keeping a straight face! Now to see if Aerys took that as an attack on him, in which case he might need to-

Marwyn chews sourleaf all the time, which has pain-numbing properties, so I figured it's possible he had a bad tooth abscess somewhere. Rickard hooked him with the prospect of dentistry.

Thanks! Though the idea of Bilbo as a mound fairy is probably a bit out there, I otherwise tried to keep Tolkien's thematic structure intact (and even gradually shift the movie elements back to a more proper Tolkien composition update by update).

SI stories would logically read like demonic possessions in-universe, and Brandon gave all the signs despite not being a body snatcher.

I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. :(

That morning she couldn't move a muscle under the stare of the one-eyed raven on the windowsill. It was black and large enough to enshroud a full-grown man even as it fit the window somehow. Its feathers smoked as if it'd flown too high near to the sun. Then it opened its beak and made a sound like rat-tat-tat and she crashed awake with a gasp to something pecking at the window.

    Yep. It is.

The second game was the only one that merited its own, dedicated guard force and was not allowed to be removed from the central table in the Snow House. It was also a card game, but delicately drawn and written over the course of what may have been months. Each card a military unit, warrior, noble, archetype or a strategic card represented by different forms of weather or landscape. And on the rare occasion, you'd draw a card that bore the name and sketch of a famous figure from myth and history, with score and skill to match. It was a game of tactics and strategy never before seen or heard of. A game that expected you to wage three battles in a row with the same hand. His son had named it Gwent.

He was slowly growing into his adult mind until he laid eyes on the Heart tree and realized where he was. The shock made him think about too much too suddenly and then the 3EC tried to poke his third eye out like it did Bran in canon. Only it didn't work right because the SI has some experience with lucid dreaming so it blew it up. Unfortunately, it left his brain scrambled. This ritual was just to let him lucid dream long enough to unscramble his brain. Except the 3EC tried to cause problems - a lot - so he had to take some time to blow him up. Along with the 1001 crows it brought along to body jump between in an attempt to win by endurance. Fortunately, Rickard's been studying so he knows a thing or two about rituals now. So he used ;the king is the land' to make guest right a spell, which warded him off enough to make the fight a one-sided snipe fest for Brandon.

Certain meddlers have been foreseeing the Thanos snap for hundreds of years. One of the consequences of this meddling is that Meredith Quill decides to take her half-Celestial on a DMT psychedelic trip as her last hurrah. End result: freshly snap-dusted Peter Quill is time-traveled back to the night of his abduction and thinks he's just dreaming the life flashing before his eyes. It's really not.

I'm not sure why you stopped updating here, but I'm giving you some stars because this story deserves it, even if I'll continue to follow it elsewhere. One can never have too many genre-defying reconstructions.
