Incredibly well written and translated.Would love to see more of the universe. @Guiltythree, please, add more characters to the fandom feature.Descriptives: gate apocalypse, coming of age, zero to hero/antihero, dystopian future, gamer UI MC.Features: dark humor, crude (but not over-the-top) humor, Murphy's law, natural 20's, fantasy powers/weaknesses.Not featured: NTR, explicit romance (based on reading plus review of fan sites), common TTRPG attributes.
This recent power surge breaks the integrity of the power system - it seems too superfluous and sporadic.
Schadenfreude
Is it hard to read alone under a bridge?
That's a story in itself right there.
fairy floss ~= cotton candy
Idiot coming across as suave and self assured but internally...
The character is either immortal for cringe/edge lord purposes or is a strawman for the characters figuring out (officially?) that the game isn't a game, which knowledge appears to be flip-flopping more than a US politician.
Consistently inconsistent; I understand consistency is the hobgoblin or little minds and all, but come on, each plot point seems to do this within 2-5 chapters.
Anime is "Love is War," presently available in many languages on Crunchyroll.
Prior rating was somehow removed. Adding spoiler to make sure not to offend some easily triggered folks. Been a while since I went through the start, but this is one of my first WebNovels and I return often to see if the author is back to writing or not. The end closes a lot of loose ends, but I am really hopeful for the sequel to continue (but wouldn't recommend picking it up until after the author returns).
Definitely hope that KillerHemBoy returns to authoring soon, the predecessor was a good book and I hope that I'll be able to spend my coins again on this universe. Rest well and read you later. (Great world and characters, a bit of an unexpected start, but a good way to make the story less reliant on prior knowledge).
His knife coming out of its sheath, after singing its own name:
Pineapples...
Surprised to find that I haven't reviewed this serial yet. Marking as "spoiler" in case it was slashed because of that. If you like OP power MCs and constant power escalation, this is not your cup of tea. If you are looking for smut, also not your web serial. If you like thinly veiled misogyny and flat characters, run for the hills. If you have overly controlling parents that are puritanical Pharisees, pick this up once you move out. World building is the strongest point of this novel. The majority of the popular system settings always have massive plot/continuity/retcons every 100 chapters or so (exceptions apply). The author doesn't do that shiFt often enough for me to notice. The prose is great.
I am sure someone already asked, but is this jelly like PB&J or jelly like jello? The description here makes it seem like the latter, but I've been reading it as the former for a while.
