honestly a hidden gem. I saw it's from the same author or translator? who wrote 'above the great dao' and i knew its gonna be peak. similar to that book this one's also deeply shrouded in mystery, concerning both the world and mcs identity. I've read up to the locked chapters. here's what's going; mc isn't a tranmisgator or reincarantor, he seems to be a native of this world. his family's farm burned down as a kid and he was later found and adopted by an old man his son. he practiced a cultivation technique from when he was with his fam so he's very strong(he's super talented). he learnt snake catching from his adopted family. mc is a fugitive for killing a mountain god and his village head so he's on the run, luckily he's got his snake buddy to keep him company. the empire is in turmoil with rebels everywhere so every county magistrate is a local emperor. there's also mountain gods who are responsible for the protection, prosperity and general wellbeing of the people, but with the world in turmoil everyone's corrupt. there's not much info about cultivation system or the world itself as not many chapters are free (courtesy of webnovel for their capitalism; slashing chapters into part 1,2,3 and others) it's intriguing but I'll probably not be spending my fast passes here. anyone with raws should please share give it a try
