This book is part of a series of books, his mannerisms are put into depth as he does things for reasons. The bandits in chapter one are not dead, but it's up to you if he killed them or not. As the author of the book, he was never evil, and the lich in my world doesn't follow the rules of a normal lich in other books. I am building a world to my liking.
