Great king had better be the name of a skill and not this guy's actual name.
the educational value of wuxia faded after the first three I read imparted a vague imprint of a different culture and an improved resistance to misdirection.
I suppose we should all break out of our chains and rebel after reading this or get on the winning side and encourage it because when people bother writing anything this long they're usually trying to convey something. Riiight.
deathly pale is healthy. greasy well protected hair insulated from color leaching is... well okay. sharp pronounced facial features are common among emaciated people. binge eating and spewing impurities in the restroom are signs of a dedicated cultivator. meditating all day to slow your metabolism so others can eat is a noble calling worthy of respect. eating a single grain of rice a day means your stronger and cooler than the next guy. eating roadkill if the animal is auspicious enough is glamorous. testing random mushrooms in the forest when desperate enough is a common practice. your not telepathic you've just noticed but not recognized everyday wisdom or common sense and may spend years becoming wise to this breakthrough in your cultivation. the pills are drugs and your body is ODing not improving. the intoxicating fresh air from the beneficial cultivation environment on the other guys lawn is your mysterious senior neighbor smoking "something" to dull the pain you didn't know you had. that rare mineral filled rock you found has a very funny appraisal procedure that everyone else who has also used and endorsed for reasons. keep your head down because someday eventually you'll be able to rub it in the next guy's face. the fire in your stomach from eating that dragon(armadillo) or phoenix(vulture) has more to do with indigestion than an imbalance in the five elements. that space ring may not contain infinite wealth but it's worth the same as a much larger bag of money if you figure out how to sell it before it gets confiscated as evidence instead of being told to figure out how to unlock it so that evidence can be processed. the family sword only flies because your ancestors or wife has had enough and the occasion didn't call for a slipper. the mysterious caves and meditation rooms are wonderous because you can hear your own thoughts. that meal you had at the god kings cured your deviating cultivation base because you had scurvy and your stuck up host kicked you out not because they were pure evil but because you were starving to death and they were hangry.
has anyone here actually and I mean truly ever read a cultivation novel that really tells you how to cultivate instead of pointing out points on the body, glazing martial art styles, or mentioning vague universe juice like some kind of radioactive waste superhero backstory because I'm seeing it increasingly mentioned as some kind of common knowledge that should be both an extravagantly priceless family secret and somehow an instinctual bodily function similar to breathing or Koolade
If it doesn't show up on your radar or medical tests when you're looking directly at it you probably already have it because short of illiteracy no one is that challenged without it being subconsciously intentional
that point a side wouldn't the sensitivity have more to do with the number, placement, and type of nerves involved than the chambers size
the difference between morally vulnerable and morally accountable is understated way to often
you know that illogical feeling you get that tells you that an amateur desperately pretending to be any kind of professional is significantly more of a problem than someone with a background and a grudge just because you don't know what weird misconception they will take too far?
an unprofessional one with basic knowledge of what causes death.
