I'm at chapter 140. The author decided to minimize mentioning cannon events was a good idea coz he didn't really changed anything except taking few girls and mentioning it would only make readers feel deja vu. Sometimes he mention some event from cannon then mc would show up saying 'looks like there's something interesting going on here' but wouldn't take action for plot purposes. In this story, it is like the mc is in naruto world but not in the story. If I compare it to something, it is like being transmigrated accidentally with the real hero but you're an extra who decided to grow stronger so no one could bother you while you watch the hero and demon lord destroy each other. In short the mc is passive to the story and it made me lose interest, some people might like it but it's not just for me.
