I totally agree with you regarding the fact she had no right to neglect her child. I don't think her actions should justified but when I think about the possible cause of her actions I can sympathise but I'm not excusing. Sorry for your loss by the way ♡
This novel is and will always be one of my favourite novels. Simply because in my eyes it's perfect. chefs kiss kinda perfect. The relationship between Asher and Elvina is shown with amazing dialogue and gives me butterflies all the time they're the perfect frenemies to lovers. The story with Claire aswell has always got me giddy and it's worth the read. The cherry on top is the fact that they're sirens and spices up the story and mystery even more. It's such an amazing ride you won't regret reading this!Anyways thank you author for creating this story and all your other stories that are amazing aswell! I know very well how hard it is to even be motivated to write yet you have written so many lovely stories don't ever stop! ❤❤❤sincerely from one of your fans (who wishes she wasn't moneyless so she could spend it to buy more chapters)
🎆third times a charm🎆
Another thing I want to add, is that for the original Heaven, looking at Dominic must have been a constant reminder of how she was with him and not her father when he died. Maybe looking at him made her feel guilty and in reference to what I said before we don't know if she even had a funeral for her father or grieved him properly. To Heaven, marriage to Dominic could have been saying goodbye to closure from her father's death and as we know she believed that it closed the door to her freedom. If only she had a stronger emotional support system. If she did Maybe the marriage between her and Dominic would have been less strained.

Big on the depression - The og lost her father abruptly, and we don't know if she had the proper time to grieve him. Such an event probably heightened the negative emotions towards her surprise pregnancy. After giving birth, she must have experience sever post-partum depression which might have caused her to further neglect her child and because she didn't get the help she needed it could explain why it extended for a prolonged period of time. Although Dominic wanted to make their marriage work it would have been better if he got her some psychological help. It's clear she was suffering especially with grief and feeling like her life was at a stop when she found put she was pregnant. These factors definitely catalysed her depression. Furthermore, she was probably all alone after her father died I dont recall any mentions of her mother or additional family so I can't imagine how alone she felt. Overall, when I think of the situation (That *ahem* hasn't fully been clarified. Like how they ended up in bed together. Or whether it was forced) from Original Heavan's pov I can sympathise.
HUuuuUuh?!?!??! She's at fault? What a joke this sleazy failure of a man. pUh-Lease say that again sir when you can keep it in your pants 🙂
