In the x-men series there was a lot of opposition towards the mutants by humans. I doubt it would be as bad in this universe since heros such as Capt. America, spider man, hulk. Basically humans with super abilities, similar to how mutants, are likely also present. They were loved and view by heros by the majority of the world's population. I'm sure once they save the world again alot of the hate will disappear.

The chapters are too short, with barely anything happening. The mc wakes up, walks down a hallway and creates a new spell, end of chapter. I just wish more happened in each chapter is all.
