I thought Aizen's backstory and motivations weren't revealed. Sorry, I might not remember Bleach correctly; it's been a few years. But I understand your death note comparison. Light has a god complex because he views himself as the savior of humanity. Wilhelm, on the other hand, desires power above all else. His psyche changed after lying in his pool of blood and dying. He has an unquenchable thirst for power and control because he lacked that most in his last life, having been ordinary and also in the hands of others. After his rebirth, Wilhelm wants power and control, hens his stand gives him the ability to manipulate others. I'm writing his character based on that. A character with such a transformative experience, going from an ordinary life to gaining unimaginable power, is bound to undergo significant psychological changes. Wilhelm's thirst for power and control is a natural consequence of the sudden shift in his circumstances. Understandably, given his newfound abilities, he would become more self-centered and even narcissistic. And these behaviors are associated with having a god complex. I understand if I didn't make that clear in the writing. I am pretty bad at writing, but I was trying to have him associate the highest form of power and control with that of a god, believing that only a god possesses such omnipotence and influence.

It might seem like the mc will be a noble and righteous character, but that’s not the case. I don’t want to spoil the fun, so let me know if you still don’t like the mc after chapter 3.
