Maybe Gabriel orchestrated it as a way for revenge. He knows Dante likes Anna and to make Dante feel betrayed is a sort of revenge for his sister’s death. I don’t thin Gabriel is as caring of Anna as we think. He is probably in on the whole greater plot to bring down the Blackthorns.

Anastasia definitely likes Dante more than she thinks, but her wanting to run away is keeping her emotions from developing faster. This session will definitely make her feelings for him bloom.

Love the long chaapters and I’m always for saving coins. I feel the longer chapters let you immerse into the scenario better than when it gets broken up. Thanks so much for the excellent writing.

Maybe Lady Evin isn’t Maxwell’s true soulmate and he is faking it to get the throne. It was said before that once you have your soulmate you forget everyone else and clearly he still had feelings for Marianne. Part of Maceell’s stipulation to be king was to have his crux and soulmate. So if Lady Evin dies, will he be disqualified for king?

So sad! Her rock is gone and she doesn’t get to truly mourn. I wonder if her pain will somehow bring her closer to Dante since he seems lonely. Now that she will be alone, it might set a bridge between them.

The book draws you in and has twists to the plot. The characters are well written and the author allows them to evolve.

Noah might not know that that was Eve. Eve’s mom was probably still barely alive. Earlier Clark said that the body was buried alive. Noah is probably afraid to get involved with Evie because of his family’s vicious repercussions.

I think Eve should distance herself. I bet it will make Vincent feel more bothered and he’ll end up going after her more once he realizes he lost something good.

This just shows Eve isn’t an ordinary mermaid. I think she comes from that goddess bloodline. I wonder if whatever curse that happened can be broken between Eve and Vincent. I also wonder if Vincent ’s abilities have something to do with coming from whatever the goddess had given a long time ago.

Still kind of suspicious of Aron. Besides, isn’t he kind of young to be a surgeon at 28 if he is the same age as Zary? College + Med school + residency + fellowship? Hmmm . . .

Maxi is such a resilient character. I think Riftan is slowly seeing it. It will take time for her to be less self-deprecating. Sometimes I wish she would reveal her past to him so he can understand more that she isn’t as “delicate” as he thinks.
