Honestly even later in the fic, the adults don't get any better. All the adults are either glazing him for being a genius or acting like children themselves. For instance, in chapter 18 the cerulean city gym leader calls Flint a cuck in a televised match with the MC who is somewhat famous. Any political figure doing this would have a scandal yet he's acting like a rage bait influencer. This is a shame because other than this it's a pretty great fic so far.
Whoever she says is the father will raise the kid because what are they gonna do? Disagree with her? She's more powerful than they are (both socially, physically and magically) nothing they do or say matters to her in the slightest. If they disagree they'll find themselves on the street with nothing or they'll be killed, so does it matter who the father is? This theoretical female mage controls these men's lives they can do nothing to hurt her directly.
Peaked at 15 that's brutal lol.
There are several major issues with this novel. First, how can it be called a 'realistic take on Pokemon when he has a system? (don't believe the description is a major focus in the novel). Second, the MC has crazy luck his first Pokemon has high talent despite being a 'random' selection it even has strong egg moves. Third, the MC's Pokemon find it easy to learn moves despite him doing nothing special with their training. Fourth, the MC was supposably a researcher for a lab when he was a kid, surely he would've been given a sponsorship by them if he was such a genius. Fifth, the MC acts like a child despite having memories of reincarnation. Sixth, at times there is wuxia and xianxia style writing which feels out of place, e.g. he was called a country bumpkin and crowds commentate fights with pointless and unrealistic dialogue. Look I know it's just fanfic and this is Webnovel so as a reader you're not exactly looking for gold but even the name of it is misleading so would not recommend it.
The story is about how the MC is the chosen one which is again not really anything new. I don't understand why this is so highly rated tbh. The MC is pretty standard he is portrayed as this good-looking nice guy but is just a lustful little creep. One of the first things he did was hit on a 13-year-old which is just gross. He somehow runs into other perverts exclusively as these adult women keep falling for an immature child. The world-building doesn't seem to make sense as it says that regular soldiers are said to be below level 20 yet it takes the MC almost no time to get to level 8 meaning the balance is horrible and makes no sense. Overall if u wanna read self insert crap then you'll probably like this but if you want an actually good story with decent characters who aren't creepy then probably avoid it.
Why does every MC insist on making powerful enemies? He's supposed to be mature and smart not argumentative and stupid.
Just awful. It started as you would expect a novel with this title to, but not only are the 10 days incredibly drawn out with chapter 25 being early day 4 but the MC has already become a twisted narcissistic delusional arrogant psychopath by then. Who knows how much worse he'll become in the following 6 days? He's already provoking people and then holding grudges against them when they respond in the simulations.
And even now sects and temples are still persecuted if they become too popular or don't follow the party line.
They had a valid concern though.
This novel has quite a bit of sexism in it (and not just in the way you'd expect) the world-building doesn't make any sense at all the story is terribly predictable and the characters are sh*t but let's be honest you didn't click on this novel for competant world-building, eloquent story or well-made characters. Though even if you can look past all those problems for the chapters containing the reason you actually started to read this novel I still wouldn't recommend it, even those scenes are boring.
This might be true in a male-dominated society such as it is in most countries today and was in the past. Still, increasingly you are seeing increased equality and female dominance in western relationships as culture and treatment of women is becoming more equal. This should be considered in the novel significantly as the culture would've evolved differently as it was stated in this chapter that female mages are more common and stronger than male mages. This means society's power dynamic would be reversed from what it is on earth with women being more dominant. Also, the idea that men find women cheating worse than women find men cheating is not the case. However, it is true that certain cultures look at women cheating as a worse sin (this is clear in most religions).
This novel's sexism just went from subtle to blatant real quick... Not that it was all that subtle to begin with.
That's not the point. Harems aren't about practicality they're about status in this world (which is why only nobles can have them).
This story is just cliche. That's all that really needs to be said, but I'll go on... Cliche list: MC treated like trash, anything you want and more system, max talent MC, MC has no intelligence (despite what is claimed), MC complains all the time despite not having to work as hard as any other person for his power (was complaining about working for months yet others have worked their entire lives), auction scene (not as cliche as others as he was selling but very cliche), alchemy (anything MC makes with his alchemy is better than what anyone else made and he obviously progresses as much in two months as others do in years), fiance (I don't even need to explain this one), family problems (one of the big families but is the declining one that has been teamed up on by the others). I could go on but you get the point. Not necessarily a bad novel but just one that essentially seems like a list of cliche rather than an original story.
The Palpatine dialogue is way too childish and direct, he's a politician and sith lord he would be more indirect in his words.
