ok i have read entire novel till the latest chap (228) and also read ur discussion 1) u haven't even read the novel 2) mc isn't dumb one, i wouldn't say he is god level big brain kind of mc, but he is smarter than 90% of the cultivation crap dumb MCs, 3) about the quests and reward for example if he faces a sure death situation system would reward him very high grade reward if he escapes it it's may be like typical situation which mc of ur generic cultivation novel faces which is said to be impossible but he overcomes it with the help of plot armour so the higher reward quest means he can only overcome it with plot armour or ultra high iq and if it is something like heaven grade reward it means even with high iq it would be impossible to survive coz it will be like kill an mc template (yes there will be char which would be like mc template of generic cultivation novel with ultra plot armour) if he tries to kill that type mc the plot armour would definitely get back at him and not only that even if he manages to kill that type of mc the quest won't end yet coz there would be some random bigshot who is like 10 major realms highest than him trying to get revenge (so in this situation even if he plans something it would be impossible to face an expert at that level) 4) at the start of the novel mc is like the "alpha" type u speak but gets fucked over his quest was like [become a disciple of the cultivator in front of him] with yellow grade reward (lowest grade) but that cultivator was actually scam artist and he fall for the trap and becomes a slave but if he actually used his brain and found out that he was a scam artist he could have become a disciple of the scam artist and learn how to scam ppl that would have completed the quest see he have to do this much to even finish the quest with lowest grade reward and in that same thing after he becomes a slave he was given a quest [stay in the cave] and reward is earth grade (which is super high grade) it may seems simple enough but actually after he leave the cave he found out entire cave is collapsing bcoz the scam artist want to remove all the evidence the collapsed the cave to kill all slaves now i want you to explain how can you survive this situation when you don't even know that cave would collapse, this isn't some situation which can be resolved using brains only u need plot armour for this situation (for example he may be lucky and be able to stuck with a tiny gap and some passerby recuses him) logically would u choose to rely on this luck for better reward and be "alpha" or be a "coward" "beta" and run out of the cave

is the mc dumb wasn't the Eliot the one who requested him to come to this world so doesn't that mean he is going to involved anyways also there is no way he can get stronger without interfering with the plot does he think this is some random sign in system novel where he can get stronger without doing anything even if he by random chance become stronger without interfering with the plot when his village is in danger he would save it and it would cause a divergence in the story seems pretty dumb

because it's not a world like ours where everything is peaceful from the moment they were born fight is a natural thing for them like how v constantly do anything for money v r willing to constantly overwork ourself for wages v are doing many things which r bad for our health just to earn money even if it's very hard and mentally exhausting labour v would do it happily if v were given millions of dollars y? bcoz money is everything in this world the same way for them strength is everything in this world so they would do everything to prove they r stronger
