For those who want to read this novel, there is one thing you need to know. Just a heads-up, this novel is an MTL translation. In the upcoming chapters, not even a single character's name stays the same—they constantly change, and the same goes for some specific terms. Those who can't read MTL novels, keep this in mind.
I never would have thought that one of this novel's biggest issues—maybe even in the top two—would be the constantly changing character names. It feels like I'm reading a Western fantasy novel on an MTL site that was originally Chinese but machine-translated. I can't wrap my head around how an author could make such an illogical mistake. Not even a single character's name stays the same; they constantly appear differently, and sometimes I can't even tell who is who.
Why does this novel read like a Chinese novel machine-translated (MTL) into English? The names keep changing constantly, even within the same chapter. A single character has 2 or 3 different names, and it's still like this even in the 600s chapters. With names like Sakar, Sakaar, Sakkar, Robin, Rubin, Rumin, it's the first time I've ever seen such an error in an original novel.
"I’ve read up to chapter 443, and man, my feelings about this novel are so mixed. On one hand, the MC is the ultimate 'child of destiny' when it comes to having a powerful soul and showing mind-blowing genius in techniques, weapons, pills, and most importantly, laws. BUT when it comes to literally everything else, he’s a total idiot—ignorant, quick-tempered, and doing shit without ever thinking about the consequences. He experiences non-stop tragedies to the point of being driven to suicide, gets constantly tortured, nothing ever goes right for him, and he gets betrayed at every single turn. By now, he should have realistically died at least five times, but he only survives because of his plot armor. It feels like he was sent into this world just to suffer and be driven to absolute despair. That being said, the world-building, power system, and side characters are actually pretty good. If it weren't for them, the MC alone would make this novel unreadably tragic."
“In my opinion, the author should remove the ‘system’ tag. What they call a system does nothing more than display the status window. And, like almost every system, it protects the user’s soul and mind. The only thing it gave as a reward was the Absolute Physique trait. What I’m saying is, the system has no real features—those who are reading for the system shouldn’t get their hopes up.”
“I’ve read up to Chapter 32, but I still can’t understand what kind of system this is. Apart from giving a gift package at the very beginning—like almost every system does—the only thing it does afterward is display the status window. What kind of system is this?”
As the author said, after Chapter 155, the writing style completely changed. I felt like I was reading a novel by a different author. But unfortunately, this backfired for me. I can't read these chapters because they make me cringe. I'm almost ready to stop reading.
I've read up to Chapter 40. So far, the most annoying thing is the main character's surname. I don't understand why the author would give him a name like "Silversword"; they really have no taste.
The author screwed up the novel with a plot twist. My hype for this novel dropped to 20%.
Can someone explain to me logically why she didn't kill them all?
