I'm unsure on the love interest but I am pretty sure this isn't gonna be a harem. Too much work and in the end it just gets confusing to write about when you have to have multiple "arcs" for each girl before they join up. Then you have to explain why the girl is so accepting of being in a harem, yada yada yada--too much work. As for web-shooters, that's a good idea for the MC in terms of helping him move around a city or outmaneuver people in combat. Might change it to something like a grappling hook though, I don't know.
