Fortunately, Feng Yan was the sort of young teenager who was not a complete homebody and often 'touched grass' playing sports with friends or doing nature walks with his ex-girlfriend. Therefore while he was still tired, at least half of it was due to extreme fear, dehydration and hunger, and he was more or less in passable shape once he barely satisfied two of the three problems. At the very least, he can probably confidently do another sprint if forced to.

Jia Hyson hates the idea of losing the capability of his mind, but he hates the idea of dying even more so. He lived through life as a disgusting zombie, but even when he gained a sense of consciousness and awareness of what he became and what he did he continued to pursue life if nothing else but for spite alone.

Traveling around he had cut his skin and sprinkled all sorts of things inside himself, relying on his increasingly effective regenerative growth to recover and grow flesh over his plant riddled wounds.

Whatever it is it couldn't be blood though. The first time he felt his heart beat again he immediately cut open his arm to sate his curiosity, and to his disgust, what came out wasn't the dark red blood he was used to but an ugly, sticky blue liquid, the consistency of honey.
