it's somewhat other way around tho, no solid answer. it's effectively temporary in canon (as it can be undoned by another wizard), time depends on the user's skill or the method...common head canon is that you can reshape permanently (like making a ring out of gold, or reweaving clothes), but transmutation is temp (in movies like lily making a goldfish that became undone upon her death) like in witcher tho it's real but made such by magic, so it's kinda fake. but for normal uses it's pretty much can be considered permanent ig. Realistically jkr probably didn't think that deep, it's like magic XD.

Broom is a cleaning tool, while on the other hand carpets can be a bit elegant.

even if it is the book night king, he's not that much stronger compared (same league) to the tv show version...not a threat as long as authors don't buff him up...just chuck a few magic steeel swords at it with magic. XD

this fic didn't mention any larger feet like in the canon...300 men can't sail 100s of ships right???...so it's probably a smaller fleet
