there's super expensive things for everything: golden toilets, watches, clocks, purses, even food. theres just a culture of consumerism and maximalism.

for clear glasses it's super cheap. sunglasses are only $20 for decent ones. you could probably get clear glasses for $10 or less

meh. an average self insert power fantasy wish fulfillment fanfic. the genre is perfect for killing time and one of my guilty pleasures. don't expect anything amazing. there's also nothing horrible, but I do have a big complaint: the MC is actually a terrible human being. I know there's an anti hero tag, but that usually means someone who objectively does harmful actions, but is a great person on the inside. this MC, on the other hand, is someone who's objectively an absolute piece of garbage who just happens to do good actions. my biggest problem though is that despite his terrible personality, he seems to only be getting rewarded for it? e.g. he just either ignores or bosses around everyone around him without any thought and somehow everyone seems to respect him? I'm sorry, but no matter what the situation, if anyone acts like how this MC does with everyone else with me, I'm avoiding you, not talking to you, not associating, and no way in hell respecting you.

bruh no way. that's the first thing anyone would think brainstorming "how to get away from Kree." it's instinct to just run as far away as possible

true, but don't most MCU characters do that already? e.g. iron man giving Potts one of his armors and also having Jarvis, or whatever his AI is now, protecting them as well. also, it's a balancing act between spending time with your family and protecting them, as well as spending time sorting out your own issues (maybe depression), and procrastination. my point is they're 3 dimensional characters with goals other than one dimensionally getting stronger for, what, alien invasions? If you heard that that's actually someone's real life reason for their ambitions, you'd think they're absolute nutjobs. the reason you and many others now think they're stupid is with the benefit of hindsight. you know what will happen. they don't. I don't mean to sound condescending saying this. it's just inevitable that any argument would sound that way, or maybe it's a personal problem? I've been told I'm condescending many times, but I don't know how I'm supposed to change that without completely giving up from all arguments. anyway, my point is, please don't take this as a personal attack. I say this only with the intent to share and discuss. if you or anyone disagree, I'm open to your perspectives as well.

1. they aren't aware their world is stupidly dangerous and 2. any tech and/or powers they release have an equally high chance of helping ppl as harming ppl.
