I'd say Alexia is pretty much worthless except for comedy relief. Also Cid won't be taking her seriously since she would be a recent acquaintance at best. Cid isn't that dumb to give up his 7 wives and Claire just to chase after a skirt, I wouldn't anyway if I were in his shoes.
