psylock cause the whole mind or soul switch she had happen. maybe rogue cause of his power over name he could name rogues power giving her control over or it or something. possibly most telekinetic or mystic females would at some point have mingled with souls so they would suffice but the top 2 are the most memorable I can remember that can potentially fit into this story.

for soul beast you could go mythical creature from earth,spirit beast from the novel, a weapon, some type of food or go for a pokemon/digimon from there it should be easy to think up spirit abilities for the character
