I know you are probably going for a flashback or something but that kinda throws the immersion off for me. The reveal of his identity to Peter is really not something I'd throw to the side and say "yeah, he knows now" and wait till later to explain, also this is literally meant to be about him teaching Peter as far as I'm aware so skipping to after he already started training for a few day is kinda strange. Just my opinion, not trying to be mean.

Nah, that always ends up with a revenge plot, even when they know they cnat win. Plus they are trying to have the citizens want to follow Shen, if the royals suddenly die then the citizens are going to look for any means to get rid of them. Tai Lung may be almost impossible to beat but Shen isn't. 😂
